Well, it is hard to believe that Jacob is 10 months old. This first year has gone by way too fast. He is doing great and growing like a weed. It seems like his legs and feet are growing an inch each day. Needless to say, it is hard to find clothes and shoes in the house that fit him. :o) On another note, we are enjoying the summer months. I decided to work 4-10 hour days in July so that I could have my Fridays off with him. It has been wonderful. We make it a mommy and Jake day. One Friday, we went to the pool for a little bit and then played inside the rest of the day (Virginia's Julys are too humid). The next Friday, we went for an early morning walk at the park, played on the playground with our friends Michael and Katie, and then hung out at home for the rest of the day (Again, too humid!). Although the new work schedule is a little difficult (I get home pretty late during the week), I believe Jason has enjoyed picking up Jacob from daycare and feeding him dinner. It has given them some additional time to bond before mommy gets home from work :o) He is starting to walk which has been a whole new experience for us. We have officially purchased a baby gate for the stairs (he has already climbed them with one of us standing behind him), and we could benefit from having lots more...lol. At around nine months, he started showing an interest in his walker. Now at 10 months, the little guy is braving walking with "no hands." It is the cutest thing. He looks like a little penguin. This is a really new thing, so we do not have any action pictures yet. I promise to include them with the next batch. Needless to say, he is keeping us on our toes. We leave for the beach in two more weeks. Can't wait! Following our return, I will try to remember to update our website with all of the fun vacation pictures. Be on the look out!
We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

Hi all. Jacob is growing like a weed and is keeping us extremely busy. We had a wonderful Easter with both sets of grandparents. Check out the Easter picture folder. At about 7 months, Jacob figured out that it was much more fun to crawl forward than to scoot backwards. Now, we are all constantly on the move. He loves our windowsills and couches because they are just the right height for him to pull himself up. He also enjoys the warmer weather. We are beginning to take tons of evening walks which he seems to enjoy. We love them too because we find that he sleeps longer after a walk before bed. Baths continue to be a blast and dressing is beginning to become a pain. The little man doesn't like to sit still so...getting dressed is just no fun for him. On another note, Jacob loves to eat. He has been eatting fruits and veggies, but just recently we started introducing him to some table foods and snacks and he cannot get enough. It is just too funny to watch. Daycare is also going great. He loves the kids and staff and we do too!!! Sorry we have been so out of touch these past few months. Hope everyone is doing well.

Wow! Time sure flies. I am sorry that it has been so long since I have updated Jacob's website. Since it has been awhile, I have incorporated both his 5 and 6 month pictures in one folder.
February was a busy month. We celebrated cousin Trevor's 1st birthday which was tons of fun. We also spent a lot of time at the doctor's office. Poor Jacob ended up with a double ear infection and upper respiratory infection at the beginning of the month and then came down with a stomach bug towards the end of February. The stomach bug was then passed on to daddy AND of course mommy was the only one who remained healthy so that she could take care of her boys. :o)
March has arrived and everybody seems to be doing well (knock on wood). Jacob had his 6th month appt. this week. He is in the 90th percentile for height and slightly below average for weight. Everything looks great! He is also on the move as you will see in some of the pictures. He is sitting up on his own and scooting across the floor backwards. It is amazing to see how far he has come in just six months.
We hope that this letter finds everyone well and in good spirits. Have a Happy Easter.

Hi everyone. January was a very exciting month. Jacob had his four month check up and he is growing like a weed. He is 26 inches long and weighs 13 lbs. 2 ozs. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting at 8 lbs. Time sure flies. He started eating solids this month and seems to be enjoying them. Check out the picture of the squash! I couldn't get the spoon to his mouth fast enough. He is also rolling over and constantly kicking his feet. His facial expressions are also the best. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy New Year from the Taylor's! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! We had a wonderful first Christmas with our little guy. We have included several pictures from our Christmas. Somewhere along the line, we have misplaced my favorite pj picture of the cousins. As you can see from the different pictures, the three kids had matching pajamas. They were just too cute. Thanks Grandma!!!!
On another note, Jacob is doing great and growing fast. In just one more week he will be four months. It is hard to believe. Time sure flies. This past month was extremely busy. Carrie had to go back to work and Jacob transitoned into daycare. He has adjusted well with this change and we are so pleased with how things are going. He has also discovered how to roll over. This has been so fun to watch and now that he has gotten good at it, he is constantly rolling on his tummy.
Have a wonderful New Year!!!

Hi everyone. This last month has been a very busy month in the Taylor's house. We had lots going on and we also took our first big trip to Pennsylvania. Jacob did extremely well in the car and slept the entire way. This was a very exciting time because Jacob met his great-great granmother (Nona) for the first time. Thanksgiving also went well because Jacob met his Uncle Jason and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Daddy and mommy have enjoyed watching Jacob grow. Throughout this past month, Jacob has discovered his hands and seems extremely interested in his hand toys (rattles, keys, etc.). He is also cooing up a storm and smiling tons. The smiling is hard to get in the pictures though because the camera has this delay feature which really frustrates mommy...lol! (Also ignore the red eyes, I totally forgot to fix them before I placed all of these pictures online.) Jacob also loves to eat. He is beginning to eat cereal and is doing well with this.
We hope that everyone had a yummy and relaxing Thanksgiving. If we do not see you before the upcoming holidays, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In two more days Jacob will be 8 weeks old. It is hard to believe. We have had a very busy month. He has had tons of visitors and we have also been taking lots of day trips. Just yesterday, Jacob had his second doctor's appt. which went really well. We found out that he is 12 lbs. 9 oz. and 23 inches. He is growing like a weed. He had to get three shots :o( which totally broke mommy's heart, but he is doing well. Jacob also dressed up as a pumpkin for Halloween. He slept most of the evening and missed his friend, Michael (Jeff Wiggle), who came by to visit. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hi everyone! Welcome to our website. We hope you enjoy the pictures. Jacob will be 4 weeks on Friday and before too much time slipped away from us, we decided to start a site that everyone can enjoy. Things at the Taylor's household are going well. Jake is doing great and continues to bring a smile to our faces. He is such a bundle of joy. Things with mommy and daddy are also going wonderfully. We are so blessed! We hope that your families are doing well.
Love,
Jason, Carrie and Jacob |
