Hello Everyone,
Can you believe 19 more days! We are sooo excited! We finally have her room ready for her! This weekend we were blessed by showers! My family made sure that all the finishing touches were added for Carolina. I don't know if she will ever know how others have blessed her and can't wait to see her! And then Greg and I were blessed by our Frenchtown more than neighbors, but our Friends! This weekend, they brought food and a whole love of celebration and came and painted the walls with whimsical flowers as you can see in the pics! It was a wonderful time! We are blessed by our neighborfriends! We really are!
Her room is ready and we think we are too!
Please keep praying for us! I am delivering at St. John's if you want to come see us! If you are not able to make it please know we understand! Come by the house too if you want! We'll be here!
Love you all,
Greg, Kim, and Luke the Dog |

Carolina is great! Greg is sooo tired from his Extreme Makeover Weekend and I am just piddiling around the house! This weekend was filled with wonderful baby things such as a beautiful shower, putting curtains up in the nursery and my mom and sisters busy helping me get ready for our Sweet Thing!

Good Morning, I can't believe it's September! Only 33 more days til Sweet Thing is suppose to get here! WOW!
Just wanted to update you on Carolina.....She is doing great! My mom went with me to the doctor on Friday. This was the first time my mom has ever heard a fetal heart beat or seen a 3D ultrasound. She was thrilled by it! She also got to see how wonderful Dr. Herrmann is to Greg and I.
Greg spent the weekend painting. I had swollen ankles so I was little help, but kept him company when I could.
I am not working any longer and looking forward to some nesting and sorting while I wait for this little thing to rock our world.
We have been showered with so many gifts in the last few months! We are soo thankful for each and everything!
Keep us in your prayers and thank you all for loving us well.

Good Morning Everyone, Thanks for checking in on our Girl!
Just got back from Dr. Herrmann's. He put the fetal heart monitor on her. She showed off. They said usually it takes about 30 minutes to get the baby to cooperate, but she was on it today! She did just what they needed her to do.
Then during the ultrasound, they checked her levels and she is great! Dr. H. said so far so good.
He also took a picture of her head and she has head. It's cool to see.
We have been blessed with showers this week. Thank you all for loving us this way. We really appreciate everything that you have done for us. It's been great to celebrate our miracle too!
Greg has been working hard around the house. He is finishing up the hardwood in the kitchen and then we are moving to the nursery. Our talented neighbors are going to paint flowers on the walls! I know it will be wonderful! We are loving getting ready for her. It's a dream come true for us!
Please keep praying for us. WE REALLY CAN TELL YOU HAVE BEEN!
Love you all,
Kim, Greg, Lukey and Carolina

Good Evening, Just an update from Carolina's Home. Anxiously awaiting our little Miss Thing! THE NESTING HAS BEGUN! We only have a couple more weeks with our house on the market, hoping that it doesn't sell and we can settle right in with our home and our Sweet Thing! The house not selling is ok with us believe it or not. We have recently gotten some great new neighbors. They are young and fun. It's funny how those things change your perspective. We are also feeling very peaceful about the house not selling. Most importantly knowing for certain that if God wanted to sell the house, He would of. So we are peaceful with His decision and wait anxiously to see how His faithfulness will show itself to our family! As if He hasn't been faithful to us huh? He absolutely has and we know it! So just another place to trust His love for us. It's a beautiful place to be!
Although, we are anxious to begin nesting, we have waited until the official day the house goes off the market which is September 5th to start the nursery. I know Greg will have a paint brush in his hand on September 6th. We just don't want to pour our heart in the nursery and if the house does sell, we could not manufacture that sort of love and passion.
Friday's dr's appointment was good. Sweet Girl is doing great! About 3.5 or 4 pounds right now! We didn't get a great picture. She has less realestate to move around so we get good shots of her feet or her cheeks or her arm. She has been moving and jumping! I just love it so much. I will miss it! Especially after a good bite of something! She has great taste in food(kindof like you Victoria).
We are looking forward to the next 56 days! WHOA! 8 weeks from today!
Oh and I gotta share this. You know Luke The Dog! Well without experiencing this with Greg, He and I found out that both of us have experienced watching Luke inspect Carolina's room. In the past he has not spent a great deal of time in her room. But as of late, he goes in and smells the shelves of diapers and then makes his way over to her bed and sniffs. When I say "This is Sissy's room", his tails wags and wags! We are convinced he knows something is coming! Crazy huh! No I am not crazy, but that Luke probably knows.............It does help that I let him sniff CLEAN diapers and say Sissy. Trying to get him ready for the change! He does well with my niece Lily who is 9.5 months. So she has prepped him for his sissy!
Well we love you. Please keep praying for us! We are doing great! I am feeling great! Just nesting and nesting! I love this! We are going to refinish our hardwood in the kitchen in the next week too! Gotta have a nice kitchen floor for your baby to throw things on right?

Hello Everyone, Thanks for checking in on our Sweet Thing! She is doing great. She has been moving my belly like some sort of alien! Her daddy has been able to feel her lots and lots!
I see Dr. Herrmann on Friday! Then after that every Friday! I think we maybe in the home stretch! Very anxious to see this sweet little thing!
Please continue to pray for us! Did you all know that someone I do not know named Vicky (not Welton) put a prayer for Carolina in the Wailing Wall? Can you believe that. There is also a little ole lady named Grandma Ruth praying for her in Florida. Never even looked at Greg and I and is praying daily for our baby! Incredible! Thank you all for loving us so much.
Have a great week,
Kim |

Hi Everybody, Thanks for checking in on our BABY CAKES! She is doing great! We saw her on Friday! She weighs about 2 pounds! Her heart rate was 146 bpm. She had her little legs crossed and was pinching her fingers as if she was asking for the credit card! She is a beauty!
Last weekend we went to a New Born Baby class! It was good information, but lots of fun because we went with our friends Brandon and Angie. They will be having their baby within the next two weeks! So it was great to be with them in this class! We learned things we had no earthly idea about including black tar poop, circumcision, and how to take a rectal temperature! Yep ask us anything! We know now not to lift Carolina up by the top of her head! (Just joking, some of my sisters may take me serious so I have to clarify I am telling a joke!)
Anyways, there are some belly shots in the picture section. My friend Sara White took some pictures so my friend Cindy could use them for a sweet surprise! If you are not into belly shots, please don't look! If you are, please to not criticize the weird looking outy I have now acquired since I have this little she child living in my belly!
Hope you all have the great day! Love you,
Kim and Greg and Luke the Dog

Hello Everybody! Thanks for checking in to see little baby Carolina. She is looking fantastic. As you can see the above picture is a 4d pic of her sweet little profile. It looks like to me that she has some big cheeks! She is growing and growing. Her heart rate was 154 today. She is kicking and flipping around just like she should!
We think she is beautiful!
It was cool because next dr.'s appointment we have to talk about our hospital stay etc. etc.! Very hard to believe! Yahoo!
So we are at 25 weeks. My belly measured exactly 25 inches too! Please keep praying for us! She's doing great!
Love you,
Kim and Greg

Good morning everyone, Carolina is up and kicking this morning. Just wanted to share somethings with you! Well Greg and I celebrated Greg's first Father's Day on Saturday with a world wind tour of our great city or as others' would call it "The Lou"! And all of that was fun and everything, but I think what was the most amazing about the day was that Carolina made her first debut for her Daddy! She kicked his hand right off my belly! She was showing off for him and celebrating that he is her daddy! Like I have said in the past, she has stolen his heart!
Oh Michelle, Belly shots are coming soon! I got the courage to have Greg take some shots of my kangaroo pouch this weekend so they will be up soon. I wish I were in Cali with you guys!
We get to go to the doctor this Friday. That's weird to say "We get to go", but I haven't seen my darling for five whole weeks. I miss seeing her to pieces. It helps feeling her kick though! So we will have a new pic or two for you then.
Have a great day. Thanks for loving us well. Kim and Greg

Well hello, we saw our girl again today! Sweet Carolina. We saw every little part of her. She has 10 fingers and toes! She clapped! She pointed! She gripped! She covered her face! We think she might even smiled! You be the judge when you look at her new pics!
So they saw her heart! It has definitely gotten bigger! The lady said "What a pretty little heart!" She doesn't see many of them in the high risk practice! Carolina is growing and growing just as she should. Oh and her brain is growing a little faster than the rest of her body, but what in the world did you expect!?!?
I am not high risk and today just confirmed it! The high risk doctor told me just to continue with my regular doctor and that with today's results that I went from being a tad high risk because of my age to regular risk! (Finally something normal about me). No comments please!
We are doing great! Her heartrate was 156 bpm today, which is wonderful.
Greg said he was little overwhelmed today. He would look down at my stomach and then at the screen realizing that all this commotion was happening right there all the time! He is in love with his baby girl!
We are half way there my dears! Can you believe it! I was telling my girlfriend that I am certainly glad God waited to give us this sweet little girl! Never thought you would hear that from me did ya?!
Love you all,
Greg, Kim, Carolina and Luke the Dog

Good morning Muchacha's! Happy Cinco De Mayo!
Just an update on Baby Carolina. She has started to tickle me! I didn't realize what it was at first, but finally after many confirmations, she is moving and I can feel her! It's amazing. I love it when I know she is awake! It feels kindof like a spider is crawling on you at first so I found myself looking for insects, but then when none were found, I realized I needed to ask someone about this reoccurence.
Also, Carolina and I are enjoying a new book - Thomas Jefferson. Sounds riveting I know! However, we are enjoying it. This president was absolutely misunderstood and we are enjoying getting to know him better. Ok, so I might be promoting something alittle too soon! It's not hurting anyone. She loves when I read to her right? She doesn't know that there are other more exciting or funny books right! She doesn't know about "The Places You Will Go". Although, I probably should pull that out from time to time and share with her huh!
Greg has been apart of buying two outfits for her. Guess what they both say??? "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL!" Shocked? Not me! He lights up!
I don't have an appointment for two weeks so I haven't seen little bit in a while so the tickles are definitely welcome!
Hope you all have a great day. Keep praying for our family please,
Kim

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to give you an update! WE ARE HAVING A GIRL! I think Greg is still shocked. He is saying "No" to himself. He said it is because he is trying to practice so he is ready when she gets here because he is afraid he won't ever be able to tell her no!
It's the best news! She looked great today. She was moving all around. Her heartrate was 154 bpm. Greg has named her already-
Carolina Kimberly Vest.
We are so excited! I didn't even feel the second earthquake today because I was so hyper. Or maybe it was God's message to all how this little thing is going to be! I don't know. Just a thought from her grandma.
Well I have both Greg and my baby clothes. I pulled mine out today. My sister in law Kathleen surprised me with some Dreft so I could get them ready for Carolina. I also got my Kimberly cheerleading doll out and gave her a good washin. Poor Poor Greg! Please keep praying for our sweet little family!
Love you all, Greg, Kim, Carolina and Lukey |

Good morning, I went to the doctor this morning! We weren't able to see if it was a boy or girl, but I am ok with that because Greg wasn't able to be with me today. SOOO, the baby's heart beat was 150 bpm. Dr. Hermann said AGAIN, It's a Chic Baby! As soon as he put the doppler on my belly, the baby jumped. Then we saw the heartbeat! He said that is what we want to see!
He showed me the baby's face. I will post the u/s pics today. I only have three of them today! I saw the spine and the ribs. Little bit was laying face forward today. We must have startled the baby from sleep because she wasn't jumping after the first initial startle. Did you know that a baby sleeps 40 minutes out of an hour and it isn't all at once.
The baby's head and back is just perfect!
Dr. Hermann said it looks like to him that we are just moving along the way we should be! I am 14 weeks and 1 day so today my due date is October 2, 2008. I go back in two weeks and hopefully, if the baby is spread eagle, we can see if it is a boy or a girl!
Love you all,
Keep praying,
Kim

We are at 13 weeks! Last week we were blown away by seeing the baby kick, jump, toss and turn and even get the goat of the lab tech! I may be way off, but I thought I saw the baby wave at us!
We saw the spinal cord, the heart beat at 167, the arms, legs, the umblical cord feeding the baby's belly! We were blown away by all of this! I don't know what we were thinking, but when the baby started to kick like it was breakdancing, Greg and I asked softly "Did the baby just move?" I don't think we ever expected this! We are new to this, but man it was breathe taking. I giggled from my belly because the ultrasound tech was trying to get specific pics and this little percoscious baby cakes would move right when she thought she was going to get the shot! I laughed and laughed! But I wasn't suppose to laugh because that would make the baby move more! I am not sure the lady appreciated it, but she didn't know who she was messing with that day! We saw our baby move for the first time in our entire life! My good gracious! I will update those pics soon. Love you all! |
