Many Toys Tout their Developmental Benefits

Many toys tout their developmental benefits,

but what does that label really mean? Simply put, developmental toys enhance a child’s ability to learn.

As an infant grows into a toddler, then a preschooler, and finally starts primary school they seeks out new challenges to stimulate a growing body and mind. A well-made developmental toy offers that, combining fun and skill-building in one safe design.

I really have a lot of fun looking for inspiring developmental toys for my daughter – I think I love the new toys we come across as much as she does! Our favorites so far have been shape sorters, wooden puzzles, and blocks. Watching her expression when she figures out what she’s supposed to do with the toys is priceless, I love every moment.

When I was given the opportunity by Buckle Toys to review one of their Buckle Turtles, I was delighted! I really think interactive-type toys are the best. I remember having a stuffed animal when I was a kid that had lots of little features: velcro, a shoe to tie, a button, and a buckle.
Developmental toys can take many forms. For example, play gyms and brightly coloured toy animals designed for infants, blocks and balls designed especially with toddlers in mind, and play sets for the inquisitive preschooler.

All of these are “developmental toys” and all will provide your child with hours of fun as they stimulate their minds helping to bring out their full potential.
