How Long do you Keep Them in Night Diapers
We have been tracking everything on paper since our baby was born almost 3 weeks ago… how often she pees/poops, how much I pump, how long she nurses etc.
Does anybody know how long we should keep doing this?
Some people have saved diapers successfully for years. I am only kept our favorites in the smaller sizes. Just in case. And, I used most of them to fund the larger sizes.
Just don’t store the diapers in the attic or basement. Temperature extremes are bad for them. Hot attic temps can be a killer for elastic.
I also read that you should store wool in a cotton pillowcase and it keep moths out. I just wrapped our small wool in some premium prefolds in the storage bin. To accomplish the same thing. I need to buy a cheap pillowcase for ds larger wool items.
None or less not more than 08 hours.
Overnight Soak Method
Pre-Wash. (This step can be skipped if you use the wet pail method.) Place all cloth diapers in the washer, and run a prewash in cold water. This will remove most of the loose particles from the cloth diapers.

Healthy Sleep for Kids
We spend an average of one-third of our lives asleep in bed. While this may be a fact we have all heard before, it’s a figure that still loses none of its impact. Sleep is essential for each and every one of us. It restores our immune system, is required for laying down memory, renews energy levels, restores mental function and is essential for physical growth.
It is important to put your child to bed at the same time every night. This will help her body clock to stay on track and make it easier for her to fall asleep quickly. Changing the bed time everyday will make it harder for her to settle down and get to sleep.
It’s a good idea to teach your baby that nighttime is different to daytime from the start. During night feeds you may find it helpful to:
1. keep the lights down low
2. not talk much and keep your voice quiet
3. put your baby down as soon as they’ve been fed and changed
4. not change your baby unless they need it
Cognitive Development of Your Baby
Cognitive development for your baby it exactly means the learning process of memory, language, thinking and reasoning. Your baby i.e. infants under 0-1 is learning to recognize the sound of your voice. So, you have to focus your vision from the periphery or the corner of your eyes to the center. Language development is much more important than uttering sounds (“babble”), or mama/dada.
Listening, understanding and calling the names of people are quite common things that all will do for the language development. During this stage, your baby is also developing bonds of love and trust on you. The way you cuddle, hold, and play with your baby will set the basis interaction with you and others.
During the first three months of your baby’s life, your child is emotionally sensitive to the moods of others. They communicate their hunger, fear and discomfort through crying . Yet they are also programmed to turn towards their mother’s smell and voice.
