Veggie Sticks with Dip Recipe

Vegetable Sticks And Dip Recipes

Dip Recipe for your kids health.

Ingredients:

  • 1 mini tub of cream cheese
  • ½ carrot
  • ½ lebanese cucumber
  • 1 stick celery

Plastic bowl with Vegetable sticks and dip on toddlers desk

Method:

Peel and cut carrot into sticks. Wash cucumber and celery and cut into sticks.

Place in a small chilled lunchbox with the cream cheese.

Notes:

  • I confess… my children would NEVER voluntarily eat this. Well, maybe a carrot stick on a good day.
  • But I am led to believe that many children do enjoy this lovely healthy food. – may the Force be with you.
  • Cream cheese is available in multipacks of minitubs, plain or flavoured.
  • Substitute with hommus or your kids’ favourite dip.

Special Notes:

Carrots are one of the few vegetables that all kids seem to love to eat so it makes sense to serve them up on a regular basis. Not only are carrots easy on the budget and available year-round, they are packed with Vitamin A as well as being are an excellent source of Vitamin Band C.

Whether you dish them up, raw, steamed, baked or juiced, carrots are incredibly versatile so try some new ways with carrots to get the most of this kid-friendly vegetable.

This salad was served as part of our cooking demo at the Tavola Dubai coffee morning in March. It was a big hit!  So much so that we had to share it here to make it available for our new food loving friends who were eager to add it to their salad making repertoire.
